ELECTRONIC VOICE PHENOMENA
(EVP) is the attempt to recognize noises that can sometimes be heard or recorded
on various types of electronic equipment. and that come from an unknown source.
Since these noises can sound like voices of different kinds, and can sometimes
even seem to call paranormal researchers by name, comment about activities taking
place during the time they are being recorded, or even speak directly to researchers
and answer their questions, many believe these are the voices of actual ghosts.
Others speculate that perhaps they're a projection of the subconscious mind
of the living, through as as yet undefined process. Of course there are those
researchers who are so eagerto find evidence of the existence of ghosts that
they will impose meaning onto random noise, and even among those who believe
in the existence of ghosts, the meanings of these sounds is often in question.
The one thing that does seem clear is that in many instances, a natural explanation
for them cannot be easily found, and that due to their unusual and often seemingly
aware nature, they are worthy of further exploration.
For a sampling of EVPs we have collected,
click the Investigations tab above, and then view any of the reports
listed there.
To entice you to listen to more, here is our favorite EVP, collected from the
Hula Moon Salon in Enumclaw, WA. We got several clear EVPs whose text directly
relates to what the investigators were doing, and shows that the spirits were
aware of the humans:
“I see out and I see what happens.” –
This was caught on 2 audio recorders AND video. One of the best EVPs we’ve
ever captured. This comes in regard to our sensitive picking up the presence
of a spirit as if looking out from the mirror.
