These photos are among some of most famous taken throughout the ages that purport to show ghostly activity. They seem to show everything from opaque, misty looking figures whose identity is unclear, to fully substancial images of people who are recognized, according to those taking the photos, as someone known by them to be deceased. What they seem to share in common is that they were all reported to have been taken by accident, that they are all accompanied by witness reports of unusual activities, and that they have all reportedly been evaluated by experts in an effort to rule out such natural causes as reflection, double-exposure, and tampering with the negative.
